Fans can put themselves in shot with past and present stars
By the time the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy is handed over to the winning captain on 15 July at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium, the iconic prize will have already travelled to over 50 countries across the globe and been seen by hundreds of thousands of adoring fans.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola is a rare opportunity for fans to see the magnificent prize up close and have the experience captured on camera.
During this year’s tour, FIFA wanted to give fans another unique experience – one that would allow them not only to see the Trophy up close, but also get closer to ‘meeting’ their footballing heroes.
FIFA has set up a virtual reality photo experience, which allows fans to put themselves in the picture with footballing greats of the past and some current stars… in a surprising way! So, if you ever fancied having your picture taken with Spain’s Sergio Ramos, Brazil’s Marcelo or France great David Trezeguet, FIFA is giving you that chance.
Check out where the Trophy is heading to next and enjoy the FIFA Virtual Reality experience at the following stops:
10 April: Guadalajara, Mexico
12 April: Monterrey, Mexico
14-15 April: Mexico City, Mexico
19-20 April: Los Angeles, USA
28 April: Tokyo, Japan
29 April: Osaka, Japan
If you are going to Russia during the World Cup, the virtual reality experience will be set up at the FIFA Stand at the FIFA Fan Fest in Moscow between 14 June, the day of the Opening Match between Russia and Saudi Arabia, and 15 July, the day of the Final.
