Morocco unifies the fans, Football unites the world

We live in a divided world, rocked by conflicts and global crises. Harnessing the power of football, the FIFA World Cup™ attracts people from all over the globe and brings them together to celebrate as one. Football Unites the World is a global movement that aims to inspire people and bring about unity and development through football.

Ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup Morocco 2022™, captains of participating clubs: Mohamed El Shenawy (Al Ahly FC), Cam Howieson (Auckland City FC), Everton Ribeiro (Flamengo), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Nicolas Lodeiro (Seattle Sounders FC) and Yahya Jabrane (Wydad Athletic Club) came together to record a TV spot that will be shown on broadcasts around the world, and inside both stadiums during the tournament.

Host in 2013 and 2014, Morocco is organizing the FIFA Club World Cup for the third time. The triumphs of Bayern Munich (2013) and Real Madrid (2014) remain in the memory, marked by an extraordinary atmosphere in the tribunes. The Moroccan air was already filled with the scent of #FootballUnitesTheWorld. In 2019 FIFA and WHO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and have since built a partnership which leverages the power of football to promote and protect the health of all people throughout the world. From promoting physical activity and addressing mental health challenges to advocating for equal access to health services, FIFA and WHO have united in a shared commitment to promote health for all. The FIFA Club World Cup Morocco 2022 will continue this partnership of support through our Football Unites the World and No Discrimination Campaigns, which extend to people in every part of the world.
