FIFA Diploma in Club Management cohort complete Doha Session

The second cohort of the FIFA Diploma in Club Management have successfully completed the latest module of the programme during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which concluded with a visit from FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Speaking at the end of the six-day course, President Infantino attended the final session to congratulate delegates on their participation and partake in a question and answer session; covering topics including FIFA’s commitment and strategy with regard to global football development, the continued growth and investment in the women’s game – at club and national level – the Football Unites the World campaign and the ongoing success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. The visit of the FIFA President ended a packed six-day programme for the 40 participants present at the Doha Session of FIFA’s industry-leading professional qualification.

Starting on 3 December the participants, which include senior administrative figures from the across professional game, representing LA FC, Tigres, Al Nasr, Valencia, Club Antigua, Township Rollers and KAS Eupen – among others – began the Doha module with seminars on Leadership & Management and Leadership & People Management. The Doha Session was the second instalment of the second edition of the industry-leading programme, following its launch in New York in September 2022. Before the course concludes in Zurich in December 2023, participants will also be invited to modules in Miami/Los Angeles (February 2023), Tokyo (April 2023), Rio de Janeiro (July 2023) and Cairo (November 2023).

In line with FIFA’s vision of making football truly global, the second edition of the FIFA Diploma in Club Management aims to promote the professionalisation of global football to enable a larger number of clubs from every region of the world to compete at the highest level off the pitch.
