Research Terms and Conditions

Please read the information below to understand your rights in relation to participating in research with FIFA.

We can assure you that :

Any personal information that you provide during this Research will be kept confidential. FIFA will comply with the obligations and safeguards under Swiss and European data protections laws, and any other applicable law with respect to personal data which FIFA is subject to. Participation in our Research is entirely voluntary and you can withdraw at any time. You are not being tested and there are no right or wrong answers. How we keep your views anonymous

We never share your name or any other personal information we collected during the Survey. We may quote things that you say in the survey to help illustrate our Research findings, but we’ll never include any personal information such as your name.

How we protect your personal information :

All personal information provided, including your name, email address, job role and organisation name will be stored and maintained on FIFA’s secure servers located in Switzerland.

Access to this information is limited to the team working on this project.

FIFA will process and store the personal information securely, for no longer than is necessary in light of the purposes for which it was first collected. All personal information will be permanently deleted no later than 2 years from the date of completing the research. If we wish to retain your information past this date, we’ll come back and seek further consent to do so.

Personal information may be transferred to third parties performing services on FIFA’s behalf, such as 3rd party research tools to analyse and organise research or to schedule research sessions.

Agreeing to take part in research

By agreeing to take part in this research, you agree to our use of these tools in relation to holding your personal information captured during the research session in addition to your name, email address and, where applicable, company name. Your rights

You have the following rights in accordance with, and subject to the conditions under, the data protection laws to which this notice adheres to:

  • (i) the right to be informed about the collection and use of the personal information;

  • (ii) the right of access to and receiving a copy of the personal information that FIFA holds about you;

  • (iii) the right to rectification if any personal information that FIFA holds about you is inaccurate or incomplete;

  • (iv) the right to be forgotten – i.e. the right to ask FIFA to delete any personal information that FIFA holds about you and to delete it sooner than as indicated above;

  • (v) the right to restrict (i.e. prevent) the processing of the personal information;

  • (vi) the right to object to FIFA using the personal information for particular purposes;

  • (vii) rights with respect to automated decision-making and profiling;

  • (viii) the right to revoke this consent at any time for the future processing of personal information; and

  • (ix) the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority, namely the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (info@edoeb.admin.ch)
