20 July 2023 has, for some time, been circled in the calendars of football fans across the globe.
Now, that date – and kick-off in the opening match of the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ - is just 500 days away.
As the biggest FIFA Women’s World Cup in history - contested by 32 teams and hosted by two nations for the first time - draws ever closer, excitement continues to build.
Seven nations are already assured of taking part, including two who will be doing so for the first time, and a further 25 will qualify to join them over the next 12 months.
And with Sarai Bareman, FIFA Chief Women’s Football Officer, promising a FIFA Women’s World Cup “unlike anything you’ve seen before”, players and fans alike are already preparing to go ‘Beyond Greatness’ in 2023.
