FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup India 2022 to support Mental Health Awareness

  • FIFA will highlight the #ReachOut campaign throughout this month's FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup

  • Indian national team player Dalima Chhibber will feature in World Health Organization's Facebook Live discussion

Today, Monday 10 October, marks World Mental Health Day. Through FIFA’s ongoing #ReachOut campaign, which was designed to raise awareness of mental health conditions and the importance of a campaign designed to raise awareness of the symptoms of mental health conditions, encourage people to seek help when they need it, and take actions every day for better mental health. The initiative is supported by the World Health Organization, alongside past and current football players.

The FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup™ kicks off in India tomorrow (11 October), and will see 16 nations compete against each other for the coveted prize. Throughout the tournament, FIFA will highlight the #ReachOut campaign, with pitchside branding at each game dedicated to the initiative. It is vital that awareness about mental health is raised amongst this young audience, and encouraging conversations at this level could save lives. Ahead of the tournament, Manitoba Bisons and Indian national team player Dalima Chhibber will take part in a Facebook Live to discuss the #ReachOut campaign on the World Health Organization’s Facebook Page at 3pm CET today (Monday 10 October).
