FIFA extends mandates of normalisation committees in Haiti and Chad

On 11 November 2022, the Bureau of the FIFA Council decided to extend the mandate of the normalisation committee of the Haitian Football Association (FHF) until 30 November 2023 at the latest. The normalisation committee is composed of Mr Luis Hernandez (chairman), Ms Monique André (member) and Mr Yvon Sévère (member).

The Bureau observed that despite some progress, several key tasks of the normalisation committee’s mandate had not yet been completed, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as to the general situation in the country, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian and political crisis.

The decision to extend the mandate, which was due to expire on 30 November 2022, was taken with the primary objective of allowing the normalisation committee to fulfil all of the tasks as part of its mandate.

Mandate of Chadian Football Association normalisation committee extended

The Bureau of the FIFA Council also decided on 11 November 2022 to extend the mandate of the normalisation committee of the Chadian Football Association (FTFA) until 30 April 2023 at the latest.

While important progress has been made, particularly in relation to the resumption of the Premier League, the decision was taken with the primary objective of allowing the normalisation committee to fulfil all of the tasks entrusted to it in its mandate.
