Opened in 2010, Melbourne Rectangular Stadium is an impressive part of the city’s impressive collection of sports venues. The venue has a distinctive outline from afar and offers excellent close-viewing for all fans. Located within walking distance of Melbourne’s city centre, the stadium hosted several matches at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup Australia, including the opening match. The venue regularly hosts men’s and women’s matches for the city’s two professional football teams, Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City, including venue for several W-League grand finals.
