Yerry Mina was surprisingly dropped for Colombia’s curtain-raiser against Japan. The Barcelona defender has, nevertheless, more than compensated those McDonald’s FIFA World Cup™ Fantasy coaches who kept faith in him.
Back-to-back 12-points returns have, indeed, catapulted Mina to third on the players’ leaderboard behind Andreas Granqvist and pacesetter Harry Kane, who was rested on Day 15 along with Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and Raheem Sterling, among others.
Poland’s Jan Bednarek also collected 12 points, while Tunisia’s Wahbi Khazri pocketed nine to fly home as one of the highest points-scoring players. David Ospina, Lukasz Fabianski and Adnan Januzaj also pleased their Fantasy coaches as the group stage reached its conclusion.
