Unforeseen headliners on Day 4
Costly stars Kroos, Muller and Neymar failed to score heavily
'The Serbian Roberto Carlos' lived up to his nickname
De Bruyne, Hazard, Kane and Son are among the Day 5 captain options
Aleksandar Kolarov (€5.5m) helped Serbia keep a clean sheet, scored the only goal against Costa Rica and made himself the highest-scoring defender in the McDonald’s FIFA World Cup™ Fantasy alongside Jose Gimenez (€5.5m).
It was also a rewarding day for the Fantasy coaches who took the brave decision to field Guillermo Ochoa (€5m) and Hirving Lozano (€8m) against defending champions Germany, with the Mexicans returning nine and six points respectively. Philippe Coutinho and Steven Zuber – the marksmen in Brazil’s 1-1 draw with Switzerland – earned seven points each.
Highest-scoring players: Cristiano Ronaldo (16 points), Denis Cheryshev (13), Alexsandr Golovin (13), Jose Giminez (12), Aleksandr Kolarov (12), Diego Costa (10).
Change your captain Round 1 matches will take place over six days, and you can change your captain ahead of each one. Only the player that finishes Round 1 in your armband will score double points.
So, if you have Cristiano Ronaldo or Aleksandr Kolarov in your armband, you probably don’t want to risk making a change. But if your skipper did not do as well as planned, you probably want to select a new one before the Day 5 deadline (14:00 CET on Monday).
Teams boasting Son Heungmin, Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard, Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane are in action on Day 5. And if you choose one of them, and he doesn’t do well, you can always change your captain again ahead of the Day 6 deadline (14:00 CET on Tuesday).

Make substitutions If a player in your starting XI didn’t perform well, you can substitute him out for a player on your bench who hasn’t yet played. However, if you want to bring in Kevin De Bruyne for Thomas Muller, you have up until the kick-off of the first game of the day (14:00 CET on Monday).
