Central Square is a historical site within the city centre area. The King Castle was situated here during the German times being replaced by the classic Soviet architecture building Dom Sovyetov in the middle of the last century. Nowadays the square hosts mass public events, concerts and festivals.

The territory of the square is located on the scenic bank of the lake and is at the crossing of the main avenues of the city.
