4 - While 56 players have featured in two FIFA World Cup™ Finals, only four of them have scored in both.

The first pair to achieve this feat were Vava and Pele, who both found the target twice in Brazil’s 5-2 win over hosts Sweden in 1958. Vava scored four years later at the 1962 tournament en route to a 3-1 victory over Czechoslovakia, while Pele – who missed the 1962 Final due to injury – netted a header to open the scoring in A Seleção’s 4-1 win over Italy in 1970.

The next double goalscorer was Paul Breitner, who converted a penalty in West Germany’s 2-1 triumph over the Netherlands in the 1974 Final before scoring a late consolation goal in a 3-1 defeat by Italy eight years later.

Completing this illustrious quartet is Zinedine Zidane, who contributed two headers to France’s 3-0 win over Brazil in 1998 and scored from the spot early in the 2006 Final against Italy before Les Bleus lost the match on penalties.
