With 18 of the 24 participating teams having now arrived in Poland for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, FIFA is taking the opportunity to raise awareness about integrity matters by holding individual team-specific presentations ahead of Thursday’s kick-off.

Through interactive sessions, all team delegations will be briefed on match manipulation matters and particularly on strengthening their capacity to recognise, resist and report any suspicious activity through FIFA's reporting mechanisms. Any approach or knowledge in connection with potential match manipulation and/or corruption-related activity can be reported anonymously, securely and confidentially through the FIFA Integrity App (available in the App Store and the Google Play Store) or the BKMS online reporting platform.

“These interactive presentations represent an educational platform as we are working with young players who need to be fully aware about any attempts to jeopardise the integrity of football. It’s of course also a key opportunity to listen to their specific needs and questions, since they all come from very different backgrounds, and to strengthen our cooperation with our member associations in the area of integrity,” said FIFA Director of Integrity & Institutional Legal Oliver Jaberg.

Integrity sessions with the delegations of participating member associations were initially implemented in 2018 as a standard preventive measure for FIFA youth competitions. FIFA successfully conducted such sessions with all delegations of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup France 2018 and the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Uruguay 2018.

As another standard preventive measure, FIFA also organised regional integrity workshops to educate the integrity officers of the participating member associations of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ as well as the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™.
