With just eight days to go until the start of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Brazil 2019™, the official squad lists of the 24 participating teams have been revealed.

In total, 504 players, all born between 1 January 2002 and 31 December 2004, will be participating in the tournament’s 18th edition.

Throughout its history, the U-17 World Cup has given the game’s most promising young players their first exposure on the world stage. Among the many stars of the beautiful game to have graced this tournament are Neymar, Ronaldinho, Toni Kroos, Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Carlos Tevez.

"When you’ve been fortunate enough to play at a U-17 World Cup, people in the football world start to look at you differently,” Julio Cesar told "It’s almost as if you’re a player who stands out from the crowd."

The former Brazil goalkeeper took part in the 1995 edition in Ecuador before going on to enjoy a long professional career that included appearances at three FIFA World Cups™.

Among the squad lists submitted by the 24 teams who will be competing in Brazil between October 26 and November 17 are several interesting names.

French teenager Adil Aouchiche needs no introduction, having top-scored in European qualifying and shown real promise for Paris Saint-Germain. Another forward, Talles Magno of Brazil, has already broken into the Vasco da Gama first team and scored for them.

Another player with football in his genes is USA’s Gio Reyna, the son of former internationals Claudio Reyna and Danielle Egan. The midfielder has looked impressive in the Bundesliga U-19 Championship with Borussia Dortmund. Another player to watch for is Argentina’s attacking midfielder Matias Palacios, their standout player during the South American Championship.
