Most notably, the 70,000-plus capacity stadium hosted the 2002 FIFA World Cup™ Final and the 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup final. It has also been a long-time host of multiple FIFA Club World Cup tournaments. Located in Yokohama City in Kanagawa Prefecture, the multi-purpose stadium will host be an exclusive host for football matches at Tokyo 2020.
