Vilnius Arena was the first international-standard multi-purpose hall in Lithuania and now hosts many major entertainment, sport and business events. Concerts from global and local music stars, various international sporting competitions, shows, theatrical performances, business seminars and conferences are held there. It is also the home of basketball club BC Lietuvos Rytas.

The arena was built in just 12 months and opened its doors to visitors on 30 October 2004. It was designed by Jungtines Architektu Dirbtuves and Stadium Consultants International, both global experts in arena design.
