Los Blancos became the first side in the Champions League era to retain the trophy as their emphatic win in the Welsh capital saw them claim their record-extending 12th title. Ronaldo played an integral role in helping Zinedine Zidane steer Real to their incredible feat, opening the scoring in the first half before extending the Spanish side's lead after the break to put them firmly in control.
