The first to secure their spot at the global finals were Uruguay, who beat Paraguay 4-3 to book their place for the first time since 2009.

La Celeste, who were trailing 3-2 at the start of the third period, turned it around in the final stretch of the game to win the encounter. Paraguay 2019 will mark Uruguay’s sixth Beach Soccer World Cup.
