FIFA President attends opening FIFA Club World Cup semi final

FIFA President Gianni Infantino was at the Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi this evening for the first semi final of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2021™.

The game between Copa Libertadores champions Palmeiras from Brazil, and CAF Champions League winners Al Ahly from Egypt - that was won 2-0 by the Brazilians - saw President Infantino meet with a number of UAE and football dignitaries.

The second semi final will be played tomorrow, 9 February. AFC Champions League winners Al Hilal FC of Saudi Arabia, who dispatched host club Al Jazira FC in the previous round – a tournament record victory – will play UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium, for a place in Saturday’s final.
