The qualification campaign for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ gathered further momentum on Friday with several tickets to the world stage on offer.

The action opened in Africa with Morocco, Algeria and Egypt all facing testing away challenges. The spotlight then focused on the Old Continent with Italy's home match against Switzerland headlining a seven-match European roster.

In the Americas, a Concacaf Clasico took centre-stage as USA hosted Mexico, while there was another derby further south as Uruguay welcomed Argentina in the only CONMEBOL match.
