Following on from the success of The Best FIFA Goalkeeper award after its inception in 2017, there will now be recognition the very best of those who don the gloves in the women’s game.

The inaugural The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper award will be handed out this year to recognise the outstanding stoppers of the women’s game, with The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper award set to succeed The Best FIFA Goalkeeper award.

From a final shortlist to be compiled by FIFA, a panel of FIFA Legends will vote for the winner. The victor will be revealed at The Best FIFA Football Awards show in Milan on Monday 23 September.
