The Best FIFA Women's Coach
Giants of coaching across women’s football have been celebrated in recent years for their dedication, success and role as ambassadors for the women’s game. The Best FIFA Football Awards recognise these outstanding tacticians with The Best FIFA Women's Coach award, which was won in 2019 by Jill Ellis, the architect of USA's back-to-back FIFA Women's World Cup triumphs.
A panel of experts on women’s football, representing various FIFA and external football stakeholders, will compile a shortlist of seven candidates for the award - based on sporting performance and the general behaviour of the coaches’ teams on and off the pitch in the period between 8 July 2019 and 7 October 2020. From that final shortlist, which will be revealed on 26 November 2020, key members of the footballing community - namely journalists, fans, national team coaches and captains - will vote for the winner, with the final three nominees to be announced at a later stage.
All award winners will be revealed at The Best FIFA Football Awards show in Zurich on Thursday 17 December.
