In his second competitive campaign, the teenage sensation qualified for every event and given the sheer amount of Global Series points amassed throughout the year, had already secured his place at the FIFA eWorld Cup™ before the Global Series Playoffs got under way.

The Englishman goes into the Grand Final boasting seven titles this season, more than other player going into the season’s curtain-closer. Those notable victories include three FUT Champions Cup titles, the ePremier League with his boyhood club Liverpool and the FIFA eClub World Cup which was shared with team-mate and PlayStation No1 ‘Nicolas99fc’.

As well as going into the Grand Final having stood top of the leaderboard for so long, ‘Tekkz’ is also fuelled by the memory of missing out on the tournament last season.

“Last year, in the Amsterdam Playoffs, I lost a knockout game and didn’t qualify for the Grand Final,” he said. “It’s one of the worst things you can experience in eSports, but it helped me gain even more determination for this year.”

Can ‘Tekkz’ put that ghost firmly behind him by winning his first ever eWorld Cup title?

On going to the eWorld Cup: "It feels good. I’ve known for a very long time that I’d be making it. Whenever you get there, it’s all about winning it. Hopefully I can do that."

On the pressure: "No matter what tournament it is, I always feel nervous. But this one I feel a little more nervous because there’s so much expectation on it. Hopefully I can work past the nerves and just win."
