Club America have one hand on yet another CONCACAF Champions League title after securing a 2-0 away win over Tigres in the first leg of the final on Wednesday.

America, seeking a record seventh crown, claimed a handy advantage thanks to second-half goals from Dario Benedetto and Osvaldo Martinez against their Mexican compatriots.

The CONCACAF champion, who will represent the continent at the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2016, will be determined next Wednesday in the return leg at Mexico City’s Azteca Stadium.
