One of Australian football’s most-loved venues, Hindmarsh Stadium has been hosting matches since the 1960s. The venue has hosted numerous major matches including finals of the OFC Nations Cup in 2004, AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2006 and the 2008 AFC Champions League. The four-sided football specific venue is home to Adelaide United Football Club in the domestic W-League / A-League competitions. Close to the city and easily accessible, the venue was significantly upgraded to host matches during the 2000 Olympic Games.
