1. Grand Final in Germany’s hands With a total of eight competitors, Germany will have the most representatives at the FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final 2018. The eight Germans will battle it out in London from 2 – 4 August to be their country’s first champion at the event.

2. Surprise of the playoffs Despite arriving as the underdog, Japanese player ‘Web’ shocked the competition to qualify for the Grand Final. Having successfully qualified with victories against the experienced ‘Boras’ and last year’s Grand Finalist ‘TheStrxngeR’, he will even travel to London as the fourth PlayStation seed.

3. ‘nicolas99FC’ dominates the PlayStation field With an impressive defence that conceded just 1.13 goals per game, the Argentinian dominated his PlayStation rivals in the playoffs. His win over ‘M4RV’ in the final ensured he will be top seed at the Grand Final.

4. Familiar faces qualify It will be a case of “welcome back” for eight competitors who featured at the previous Grand Final. They include both finalists from last year – Kai ‘deto’ Wollin and Spencer ‘Gorilla’ Ealing.

Meanwhile 2014 champion August ‘Agge’ Rosenmeier will also get the opportunity to clinch his second title.

5. Goals aren’t everything ‘FIFAUstun’ recently impressed fans with his attacking play while helping Brondby IF to win the FIFA eClub World Cup title. While the Dane once again turned on the style at the playoffs in Amsterdam by scoring 3.84 goals per game, he was unable to qualify for the Grand Final in a decisive match against ‘andoniiPM’.
