FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ semi-finalists Croatia needed a penalty shoot-out to overcome Tunisia following a 0-0 draw in the FIFA Series 2024™ on Saturday.

FIFA Series 2024 Egypt™ Tunisia 0-0 (4-5 PSO) Croatia Goalkeeper Ivica Ivusic, who replaced Dominik Livakovic in the second half, came to Croatia's rescue with three penalty saves as his side prevailed 5-4 after the game went to a shoot-out. Croatia will face Egypt next on Tuesday after the hosts defeated New Zealand 1-0 on Friday. The tournament is part of the new FIFA Series™ introduced to provide FIFA Member Associations with a more regular opportunity to face national teams from other continents.

The FIFA Series™ tournaments allow FIFA’s Member Associations to engage in meaningful games and share their experiences with counterparts from other parts of the world. The pilot project provides a chance for technical development, and participating teams have been applauding the unique opportunities presented by this initiative.
