FIFA Foundation launches a call for tenders for the implementation of the Digital Education Programme in Mauritania

The FIFA Foundation finances the Digital Education Programme, an educational initiative that provides technological tools as well as learning, training, and mentoring resources to primary schools in vulnerable environments. The goal is to enable students to acquire knowledge and develop skills in digital education, programming, and educational robotics, while promoting social inclusion and educational innovation through activities that combine technology and football.

Mauritania is one of the countries selected by the FIFA Foundation to implement this programme, with the support and coordination of the Ministry of National Education and Reform of the Education System (MERSE) and the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania (FFRIM). The three-year programme aims to reach up to 30 primary schools located in the regions of Trarza, Nouakchott, Inchiri, and Brakna, and is expected to benefit over 10,000 students through various activities: teacher training, provision of technological equipment, monitoring and evaluation, within others. It will promote the implementation of robotics and technology-based projects alongside the national curriculum during the regular school day.

The call for tenders outlines the FIFA Foundation’s requirements for selecting a Service Provider responsible for the operational implementation of the programme. This includes project management, coordination of partners and suppliers, event organization and logistics, monitoring and evaluation, communication, and other activities described in the document.

The FIFA Foundation is an independent foundation established within the meaning of arts. 80 and seqq. of the Swiss Civil Code (SCC).
